FC Barcelona Asia Tour 2013: Training Day @ Bukit Jalil

September 14, 2013

After a really, really long delay, I am finally able to post this. Editing a batch of photos of my favourite midgets took longer than I expected, whats with the need to pause and squeal everytime I got a glimpse of Messi among these badly taken photos. Fangirling is tough. Then again it's probably just me.

Anyways on 9th August, which was the second day of Eid, me along with my sister and cousin went to see the Blaugrana boys train. There weren't many people, CIMB was even distributing free passes. We got into the stadium just as the Malaysian team finishes their training and had to wait a bit for Barca boys to start their session.

I don't really have much to say because all they did was, yes, train. Which involves them running around and unluckily I was at the wrong side of the stadium so it was hard for me to see them clearly. I did borrow a zoom lens from Naziera but the distance between the stands and the field was just plain impossible. Malaysia really needs a proper football stadium that does not have a running track encircling the football turf. As if that'd ever happen. Anyways, everyone there was pretty excited though, the crowd keeps on cheering and some even chanted olele, olala, ser del barca es el millor que hi ha which was pretty nice.

This is probably the post with most pictures I ever posted but hey, I can't help it. Despite the shots are meh-ish, they are still so precious to me. I'm gonna be nice and spare you non-footie fans the need to scroll through images you have no interest of. Click 'read more' if you are interested. Enjoy, I guess.

Last weekend, Naziera and I decided to have a mini roadtrip to Bandar Melaka. It was kinda impromptu-ish. Goodness me, I woke up late and even packed my things in the morning of the trip itself. We didn't really have any set plans in our minds; all that we know was we wanted to go Melaka because it has been a while since we last been there.

A lot has changed in Bandar Melaka. Dataran Pahlawan in undergoing a renovation, new buildings are emerging, shops that we loved has since been closed, items are now even more overpriced than before, and the saddest thing is that there are rumours that the state government is planning to close down Jonker Street. It's absurd and borderline stupid if you ask me since Jonker Street is a well-known tourist attraction but hey, what do I know?
Regardless, Melaka still holds some of its charms. I wonder though if I were to come back in say, five years, will things change even more? Will Melaka lose its 'heritage city' identity because people are too busy chasing urbanization to give heritage preservation a chance?

I hope not.

Huda has these two beautiful angels. I'm in love with them, I wish I could grab them, put em in my bag and bring them home. But that's impossible because I have Smokee, an alpha male who refuses to come to term with any felines other than his 'sister', Tigger. They are old now so I just call them the Grumpy Grandpa and Grumpy Grandma.

Come to think of it I always capture pictures of my very own furkids and post them here because they make me happy every time. I really should get my kit lens fixed asap, yes? I miss home, I miss my cats. I really can't wait for Friday, meeeeps.
p/s: Tagging my pictures of cats and cat-related posts with 'cats' because I aspire to be a crazy cat lady meowmeowmeow.

I've never been good with kids. I don't really hate them per se, I just don't know how to deal with them. I don't know how I should act around them. I mean do I have to baby talk and act all cutesy to them like I do with cats because I often see people do that but if it were me, the kids would be running away in terror because I am that creepy.

Ok I exaggerated about the running away part but the bottom line is kids are afraid of me lol.

Other people would squeal in excitement at the sight of a baby but the best I could give is an awkward smile  and pray that the baby would smile back at me so that I could feel better about myself. I won't lie, I am always jealous at those who knows how to handle kids. I wish I could be as kid-friendly but I'm such a sad case of a social retard it's not even funny. I've never even truly held babies in my arms because I'm always afraid that I'd drop them omg I mean babies are like so fragile I can't even *shivers*

Anyways, last weekend we had to shoot a video for one of our assignments and I had to be around kids. And I survived. It was understandably very awkward for me at first but as the day passed by, it got better. I enjoyed how cheeky these little kids can be and watching them was so amusing. I'm surprised that they don't find me creepy or grumpy. Maybe I 'm exerting less 'kid-hating' vibe now? Good job, Kiwa *pats self on the back*
I guess kids are not that bad after all.
Hihi.

My blog has been so quiet lately so I thought why not some super outdated post? Now, now don't sigh in disgust, this post is filled with pictures of cute animals! Who doesn't like cute animals, right? *flees
Look at the deformed koala lol I found it to be so amusing.
So on day 8 we finally went to the Featherdale Wildlife Park. We are both animal lovers so the thought of seeing animals that are significant to Australia made us giddy! Now the pictures are pretty much self-explanatory (hint: I'm lazy to write) so here goes:
